AOL had Prodigy, and Compuserve and word was that Microsoft would start. some were saying that such severs would soon be unnecessary. People would just go straight to the NET. Plus there was all sorts of technology coming out that supposedly would surpass AOL. YOu can see all these claims on the earlier posts at AOL. And your last coment I agree. I think thats why they are taking so long. They want most of the bells and whistles already in place before the unveil their product. And from what I'm reading FNTN is also in a new area. Yes, there are more in the race now because folks (GE, ETC) finally see the profit potential. Thats why the Siemens world network is so important. FNTN has to hit the ground running. There won't be time to slowly grow into the technology.
