Ira,

As I read it, they aren't closing the Malaysia plant, they are expanding their manufacturing options with a plant near their two biggest oem's. Sounds like a smart move to me. One one hand, you can still import units from Malaysia, if they need some here. Export the rest of the Malaysian production all over the Far East. AND, as would happen to ALL the companies with manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, or other potentially unstable far east areas... if a bare footed mob starts burning and looting everything in sight, and trashes your factory, or curfews lockout your employees,.... you better have a backup plant or you go to zero production capabilities in a hurry. I'd just bet that some of the OEM's may have insisted on some stateside manufacturing capability, or second source, as a constant supply condition of doing business.
