You're right about Safeplan. It could be a blockbuster someday. I haven't heard anything about it for a long time. The last I did hear was that Quidel was working on a Generation III version.

An article in the 16 August 1993 issue of Business Week's Inside Wall Street column caused quite a stir. Quidel's stock traded about four times normal after it appeared. Scott Glenn was quoted as saying Quidel intended to beat Wall Street's earnings expectations for next year ''by a wide margin.'' It also reported that Glen expected European sales of Safeplan to hit $30 million the following year.

Quidel issued a press release stating that the article compressed a range of possible sales and earnings into a best-case scenario.

I'd like to know the latest about Safeplan.

Let's hope its still got potential.
