PSFT thread was interesting reading over the weekend, with archives of the CC they held a while ago (and questions that were posed by Phillips and Sherlund). Talk of pricing pressure due to SAP and so on. Even with the haircut it got Friday, PSFT still sells at a P/E of about 38 (0.64 EPS). Now, with HYSL we have a company selling at about 11 times earnings (1.62 est.). Isn't it true that the traditional ERP sector is considerably more mature than OLAP, Data Warehousing, Analytical Apps? Hence "worries" like pricing pressures are likely well down the road in this area? Seems the only way HYSL can disprove the trashing of enterprise software is to put up some numbers that contradict the current bearishness of analysts. Do these analysts really "understand" everything they cover? I think I've seen Chuck's name on reports from everything from PSFT to PMTC to CA to HYSL.
