Craig,
It is discouraging but I am afraid it is true. I visited local
Montgomery store, they had two AST 6x86/166+ in stock, one of the two was a display unit and one in a box but opened. The saleslady was willing to sell me the unit for 1299.00 including a 15" monitor--1.5gigs hdd,16 megs memory. The display unit appeared very old. I got the feeling it may not be such a hot item to sell as many have expressed here "selling like hot cakes". Similarly configured Pentium systems are priced around 2000.00. True AST and Cyrix both having hard time currently, but still such a lo price suggest to me that consumer is reluctant to buy non-Intel. Any comments. What is the experience of others.
Thanks.

Badshah.
