I know what you mean, but the biggest thing that baffles me about time is when my watch runs faster when the battery is getting weak, it would see like it should be just the opposite

That's just my point! The watch hands are moving faster in order to compensate for the decreased movement of electrons in the battery. The concept of compensation, BTW, might well be the concept required to integrate Newton's laws, Einstein's theories, etc. The elements of existence are always moving. It usually doesn't mean anything. Most of it we don't see. Just look the other way and it will neither bother nor baffle you (unless its a car, and you're moving on the road)!
