Letter to Dr. Patel. I just emailed this letter to Greg Facktor and asked him to forward it to Dr. Patel:
Dr. Patel, I would like to let you know that as a shareholder of Techniclone, I appreciate your efforts in conducting the TNT trials for Brian Cancer there at the Medical Univ. of South Carolina. I know it must be a truly rewarding experience you are going through, knowing that this product and your work may well represent a huge step forward towards conquering this dreaded disease.
I read yesterday that you were directly attacked by 5-6 shareholders about missing the application deadline to present TNT at the American Society for Neuro-Oncology conference in November. This rude behavior was totally uncalled for, and I hope that you will keep in mind that there are over 4,000 Techniclone shareholders that did NOT let their passion for Techniclone cloud their better judgement. Sure, we're all disappointed, as I know you are, but heck, people make mistakes, and we must go on. I like to approach problems like this as an Opportunity to Make Things Better. Who knows, maybe you and Techniclone can roll up your sleeves and come up with a Better Way to present the TNT results to your peers and the world! Turn adversity to your Advantage by coming up with a Solution better than the original – happens all the time! Let's look back and say, man that was a Blessing in Disguise!!
I for one will NEVER take my eyes off the Ultimate Goal we're all after, Curing Cancer. How well TNT performs in your Trials dwarfs the particulars of where which “venue” we announce the results. If TNT is the blockbuster we all hope it is, the least of our problems will be finding a conference or seminar to tell the world – the easiest thing will be to get the word out on something That Important to millions of lives!
In summary, thanks for your dedicated work in the TNT Trials. I know that as the professional you are, you will take your time and do it right – the rest will take care of itself. Mankind will judge you much more on how well you conducted the Trials than whether you missed the deadline on one conference. I'm praying that you will look back at your TNT work as one of your crowning achievements.
Best of Luck,
