stay on your toes bucky regarding asnd and lu, you know my feelings and i would hate to see you get burned on this one..... good luck Thanks Tim, I think you are refering to your "sources" about a possible LU/ASND merger. Well, I don't think rumors are going to be very reliable at all on this issue, since there are as many people who have an interest in seeing ASND stock go down as those who are long. Lucent wants ASND at a good price, and you know darn well they aren't going to admit they are going to buy Ascend. I feel good about this one. Even if there is no takeover and Lucent decides to buy someone else (which I feel is VERY unlikely), I am confident that Ascend will hold its own against Cisco into the forseeable future. We shall see. I can't wait to see who will have the privilege of saying 'I told you so!' Chambers' worst nightmare is about to come true. He's already anticipating it, and already badmouthing it. bucky89
