You had four thoughts, Last first:

What else has the Company got? A call to the company lists three: a freshly resuscitated BC mine c/w mill, a similar rebuildable California mine, and some Nevada blue sky sandwiched, I understand, between two elephant operations. Call the company yourself for confirmation. It's an eye opener.

They were bought out. I don't think so. A complacent, unsuspecting management was apparently raided by an aggressive US mutual fund who took control, scooped the till, ran, and left a lot of creditors unsatisfied. Instant profit ruled the moment, we are told.

Exploration failed. I don't think so. Exploration did not even contemplate the southeast rhyolite zones. Nor did it look below a given horizon line at the minesite, itself.

Reserves were near depletion. Yes, they were less than normal, but so was the turn of events during the raid. At no time in its production history did the original company have more than a two year lead of reserves. About a year's supply remained at the abandoned mine when the raiders vanished..

The whole situation is a special story in mining. There is a lot more to this than meets the eye. I think you will want to check it thoroughly.
