Then Clinton had his aides assert bogus privileges and to go out and lie for him in public and before the grand jury. Clinton sanctioned a campaign of defamation against Judge Starr and witnesses. Clinton conspired with Monica Lewinsky to lie and tried to alter Betty Currie's testimony. Clinton also abetted a felony by endorsing Monica's affidavit, which he knew to be false. >>This is why everyone is shouting about how overboard Starr has gone. That's a diversion by the partisan Dems. Starr has done nothing unusual and has in fact shown Clinton deference the average person would never get from a prosecutor. The hearings will educate the people, including your friend. >>but if the average citizen wouldn't suffer had he done the same thing The average citizen would have done little of the above without extreme sanction. And the average citizen is not the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the US who has taken an oath to uphold its laws and system of justice, only to trash it.
