Nicholas,
TroughBars() plots the number of bars (days) since the N trough.

Trough() plots the data array value at the N trough.

Try Zig() for an overlay of the price plot to see if its what you're looking for.

Also, .001 is using too small a value for determining a minimum change to define the trough. Start around 2-5% and adjust from there.

Read the manual formula section starting on pg. 218 or the program help menus. They're actually quite good at relieving function frustrations.
