Banshee cannot do SLI in any shape or form. I agree that this was a dumb decision. They probably will make another product capable of SLI, but that will not be the next (i.e. < 6 mo) product.

Now Sun says they aren't actively pursuing the set-top or console market.

How do you come to this conclusion from my saying "They are interested in developing set top boxes and game consoles if they get a chance but so far no deals"? This means that no one has asked them to work on one, but they would love to. I don't think you can just build a set-top box and ask people to buy it (not in 3Dfx's case any ways). You need someone to back you up on it first.

P.S. Nikkei closed under 13000! Initially it caused a major down-draft, but since DAX has been moving up, other markets are reconvering. It will be interesting to see which current will wind. My vote (for today only) is with DAX (now would that be Curizon, Jadsia, or the new host?).
