commercialization of innovative electronic and information

-- Digital television. As a member of the Digital HDTV Grand
Alliance, Sarnoff played a key role in developing and testing the
technical standard for high-definition television. Sarnoff is also
developing critical technologies needed to merge television and
computers.

improving analysis of intelligence data. In its operation of the
National Information Display Laboratory, Sarnoff is improving the
accuracy of mammograms in the fight against breast cancer.
