Darleen, According to the DJI Titanic article, 70% of the US money supply is overseas. If that is in fact the case, then the 10% growth in our money supply is reflected in only a domestic 3% growth rate. Another way in which we have exported our inflation.

PS: I haven't found a figure on total money supply in Europe. But world wide it is almost 2.5x our domestic money supply so it doesn't seem out of line that Europe could be as large as US.
