Thanks Sun. That was helpful. But I am also wondering if such references are slightly too esoteric for analysis of the current situation.....which is to say..... digging so deep that the digging disguises what is clearly laying on top of the ground..... If one were to dig....perhaps a better approach would be in taking a look at how the speed of communication and the new connectivity between broad masses vs....the filtered, delayed communications of previous markets through previously traditional outlets (i.e. "fool" service brokers and other "wise" folks) has accelerated and deepened the impact of market moves and/or changes in market fundamentals.... or perhaps there is no difference, but only seems as if there is one... I think it may well be that the technological revolution which gave rise to the bull market may well be its undoing......the forces of the masses will move faster and act more rapidly than any government or governmental body can....domestically or internationally.... one reason they've been unable to fix this thing.....the thing being long ago out of hand while the governmental thinkers and policy markers were marking time the old fashioned way....at a snail's pace.

Any thoughts?

Joel
