is misleading.

Cisco rescinded their stock repurchase plan because repurchasing their stock may prevent them from using the pooling method to account for acquisitions. Simple as that.

The article goes on to describe some mysterious "conflict" with the SEC that does not exist. I thought that section of the press release (where it discusses CSCO's accounting in a negative tone) was biased. Made me wonder what was the author's real motivation for issuing the press release?
