Sometimes it pays to take a small chance with a few bucks, especially when a stock may form a double bottom, there is a big chart gap to fill, earnings are coming up with no warnings and the stock is drastically undervalued on a PEG basis.

But I agree I wouldn't make a habit of it. Individual investors have to decide if they want to buy when most everyone else is selling in a panic.
