RB... Somewhat to keep the thread alive I noticed the following announcement today. >>Datametrics and COMPAQ Extend Partnership to Offer ViewPoint To POLYCENTER Customers<< biz.yahoo.com In the Press Release it mentions that the SW Datametrics is offering in partnership with Compaq, is for old DEC equipment. DEC had a bunch of that type of SW and IMO, DEC users are declining and moving to other platforms and operating systems. As such, while there may be some market for this I suspect that it is quite small. Again IMO, CPQ sales force will prefer to upgrade older DEC platforms rather than offer some partnership SW to prolong the life of existing systems. Comments??? Bob T. (Still short)
