Not to speak for Roger, but as someone who DOES follow the thread regularly I think it's a shame that he happened to put some poorly timed picks in the thread header. The impression that gives just doesn't do justice to the results some of us have achieved shorting this year. What I've learned here (and the other short threads), both general principles and specific picks, has resulted in a healthy portfolio for me.

Thanks to Roger for being willing to stick his neck out to share his ideas with us. And thanks to all the others who share their ideas on this thread.
