Toshiba Unit Cuts Megapixel Camera Prices IRVINE, Calif., (Reuters) - Toshiba Imaging Systems, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., said that it has lowered the estimated street price of its megapixel digital camera to $499 from $599 as part of a pre-holiday promotion. The company said the move made its PDR-M1 camera the most affordable megapixel camera on the market. The camera is compatible with Windows and Macintosh platforms. It combines traditional, point-and-shoot functions with more sophisticated features, such as higher resolution, digital zoom, and a four-mode flash lighting system.
