Hi Lachesis, In general terms I am using 20 as there are approximatley 20 trading days in each option cycle. For a specifc stock though you can run a Fourier analysis to find the pre-dominant frequency for a stock if you want a more accurate reading. Unfortunately, there is no snow yet just lots of rain. It is supposed to be a very hard winter this year though so I expect plenty of snow. Someone pointed out that people get their quarterly 401K statements this week. That combined with today's market action should leave us vunerable to the short side in the intermediate term. Harry
