Jim,

AMD has been very good of late about NOT hyping future products. I wouldn't construe what is said here with AMDs official position.

If this is a sign of more maturity in the AMD marketing department, I'm all ears. Hopefully some of the zealots can tone down their heated posts about the K7 (both the positive and negative ones) until more info is released about the thing.

On the other hand, there are a few people here that do have the inside track on when and what AMD will release. Trust me on that one.

Wouldn't the mere mentioning of this statement undermine the reason why AMD keeps its plans a secret?

No offense, but I humbly ask that if you've have info, tell us straight up. I don't see the point in telling people that you have the inside scoop, but you won't reveal what the inside scoop really is.
