From late May: "Bankruptcy isn't an option, Boston Chicken officials said. "The company has absolutely no plans to file for bankruptcy protection,'' said Karen Rugen, Boston Chicken senior vice president for communications. She said the company isn't closing any stores.

"Mike Jenkins, the new CEO, has said repeatedly he has no plans to file a bankruptcy plan for this company,'' Rugen said Friday. "He was hired because he has a history of turning around companies.'"

The above is a lesson to all. A company will not 'tell' you it will consider bankdruptcy until they are walking down to the courthouse to file the papers. It has always been this way and so you will have the opportunity to see this happen again in the future with a different company.
