sid, I have all the benchmarks in front of me.. I can assure you that servers and pc's rocketed through those downturns. what you are missing is what i defined in post 516 on steve thread. that world class performance is in swing now and mfg'er are starting to increase profits that away. that's what allowed them to increase profit and revenue w/o the people. durable goods was actaully down 6% this month..they just announced that the profits are going to slow... but, your technology view and what is making companies prodcutive is weak. question..did the companies lay off the people and that action make them more prodcutive...no.. they did something to get prodcutive. what was it??? pardon me i have to throw up..they are talking about the NC on CNBC right now. so, what made them prodcutive???
