And home ownership makes for a marvelous tax shelter!

I am beginning to wonder if Michelle plans to live to age 50 or over. Her obvious contempt for the older segment of our society is disturbing. Perhaps she should rent the movie, "Logan's Run" and contemplate its message.

I would say also that the AARP crowd have more than paid their dues to society in taxes and other contributions to our economy and have done their bit to raise our standard of living to its current state. Let's now allow them to enjoy in peace the fruits of their labors and look to some other source to gain personal wealth; say, something along the lines of personal achievement by one's own labors and shrewd investments.

I will repeat: There IS affordable housing in the SF Bay Area. The Muni notwithstanding, public transportation is otherwise quite good here.
