Shane, I had cable modem service at $40 a month and loved it. Then I moved across the county line and got a different cable TV company so couldn't get cable internet access anymore. Then I got a new computer and am now using V.90 modem access at $15 a month. Cable modem is definitely a winner, but even if it were offered in my area again I'd probably decline. At non-peak times, the V.90 service is really not that bad. The best thing about cable modem was being on the phone with someone and looking up stuff on the internet at the same time with almost instantaneous download. Well, if LSI ever gets back to break-even for me, maybe I can get cable modem again! I don't think the consumer has a clue about DSL, so cable will win out big time in households. Don't know about businesses.
