The creative ones are putting resources in multiple places instead of continuing to concentrate in California. If that helps to take pressure off your ability to buy a home, why is that "damaging to California?"

As an investor, I'm very happy that some of them are getting away from the problems (and costs) California presents with the lemming-like concentration of people. Again, from an investor's standpoint, I don't like the creative-payroll-accounting and dilution that over-optioning brings about; I don't like the fact that the salaries are inflated in California and that turnover (which I think does impact the bottom line negatively) is a problem in a talent-concentrated area.

"And I dont know what you expect executives to "do" about this mess unless they resort to your first sentence (MOVE)."

Some of them (not enough) are doing things like distributing their company to other parts of the country; outsourcing some departmental-level tasks to other companies; having employees office in their homes, etc., etc.

The more important the problem to the executive, the more creative a solution will be tried and adopted; the less important, the more lip-service it will get.

Not to sound rude, but I get the impression you're one of the executives that has thrown your creativity out the window in favor of complaining about the problem in the hopes it will go away.

Mr. K.
