The CAPSCAN simply screws into the fill pipe where the cap has been. It extends down into the tank like the cap does on your old thermos but much deeper of course. Environmental Digital Services has one existing patent, and two more pending that should be received very soon, that keep anyone else from using such a simple method of inventory control and leak detection.

This is why the company can say they really don't have any competition for their product. No one else can go through the fill pipe at any price.
