(VRC) 7 1/8 -13/16: oilfield equipment company warns that Q3 earnings will post in the $0.22 to $0.25 a share range, vs yr-ago net of $0.21 and the First Call mean estimate of $0.30; puts revenues at $190 mln; see press release... Maverick Tube Corp. (MAVK) 5 7/8 -1/2: manufacturer of tubular products used in the energy industry in drilling, production and surface transportation applications to record a $1.6 mln one-time charge in Q4; company also warns of a break even quarter, before charges, below the First Call mean estimate of $0.03 a share and year-ago profit of $0.35 a share as activities depressed by lower sales; see press release.
