Hi Dan,

I do not think VLSI is supplying anything to Motorola as they pretty much use their own chips for handsets. As you know Mot business has been poor lately, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Nokia continuing to gain market share in cell phones at Mots expense. Galvin has done a terrible job since taking over.

Never-the-less beating the numbers is good news, and a good omen for all chip stocks, especially the part about Asian orders being significantly higher. Jim
