You are only too correct. I work with one of those after effects. My base has B-1B bombers that was only built because the parts are made in 48 different states. The lies spread about this airplane are ridiculous. But they aren't lies, they are more of half truths like Clinton's Lewinski definitions. Yes it carries more bombs than a B-52, but it won't have enough gas to get to the target. So you put in a belly tank so it can reach the target and now it hardly carries any bombs at all. They say they can out run the enemy. Apparently they can't do simple math. The B-1B does around Mach 1, the fighters of today push Mach 3 and the missles they fire do 3 times that. Your tax dollars are about to be wasted so they can add a new missle to the B-52 that it could already carry now but they have to do it in a way so it won't carry more than a B-1 because that would make it look bad. We are intentionally hurting our defense to make a plane look good so it will protect future jobs.

Woops, got on a soap box. Anyway, the same thing will happen with SS going in the market. Stocks will have to be bought in amounts equal to the number of registered voters from a geographical area to appear fair. DELL will open a plant in Alaska so that they can be bought heavily because it represents a large square mile percentage. Then an office in LA so they can capture the high population vote etc. Stocks will no longer be bought based on performance but size of voting district and number of registered voters.

Sorry for the earlier rant but wanted to show precedence.
