What's wrong with an n of 3 or 4 ???
An n of 3 or 4 administrative assistants of some MIS directors who have better things to do than fill out a survey from some company that sends them an annoying survey every quarter ... with stupid questions that require consultation from the CFO to answer accurately??? Sounds significant to me.
Scenario One...
"Pat, would you fill that stupid survey out for me?"
"Karen, I am only a temp, I do not know the answers to these questions?"
"Pat, just fill in anything...I can't be bothered by these stupid surveys every quarter."
...Or, does it go something like this?
Dialing... ... "Yeah, Jim? This is Karen."
"Karen, how is the Y2K update report for the Board doing?"
"Almost done Jim, but I have to put it on the back burner in order to fill out this Cowen survey (or at least they used to be Cowen...now they have some initials in front ... whatever). I know the Board meeting is tomorrow. Perhaps we can call the eight members and reschedule the meeting for, say, next week?"
"Certainly, Karen. I know that two of the members planned vacations for next week, but I am sure they will understand. This IS the Cowen survey, after all. I'll set aside four hours in the afternoon to nail this one down. Thanks for the heads-up, Karen."
"Thanks, Jim."
