BEFORE THE BELL - Motorola moves up NEW YORK, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Shares in Motorola Inc. rose in pre-opening trade Tuesday after the technology and telecoms company reported quarterly earnings that beat forecasts. Motorola was up at 42-1/4 on the Instinet electronic trading system from a Tuesday closing price of 38-9/16. The stock earlier traded at 41-3/4. Motorola reported third-quarter operating earnings after markets closed Monday of $0.07 a share, excluding charges. A consensus Wall Street forecast had put earnings at $0.01 a share.
