(NewsTraders) -- Dayton-Hudson Corp. (DH) has filed $1.5 billion of securities at the SEC, according to an S-3 shelf filing Tuesday.

The company is also carrying over $25 million of securities from a previous filing, which brings the total amount of securities covered under today's filing to $1.53 billion.

The securities cover debt, preferred stock, common stock and Depositary shares.

Dayton-Hudson will use the proceeds for working capital requirements, to fund capital expenditures, remodel existing stores, refinance debt, and finance acquisitions or real estate.
