Andrew and all:

The other Wave-related element that should not be forgotten is the Sprague's concept of rent-to-own payment for software or content.

IMHO that many of those who would object to contracting for software the cost of which would forever be metered by a ticking meter, would find it quite palatable and advantageous to be able to obtain the software on a rental basis, test-drive it, get through the implementation bugs and then, if it were "the right package", take the next step of a one-time buyout or a change from straight rental to rent-to-own to acquire title to it over a specified period. The WAVE system provides such opportunity and would allow the buyer to adjust the parameters to his own schedule, operation and economics.
