mill. Sure the pc card that Toshiba uses is made by Smart modular Tech. And
Yes, this card is equiped with the Sigma Designs chip set.
One of the key chips of this set is the MPEG decoder chip, made by none other
than C-Cube Microsystems. (Just open one up and you will see!!) two of the
other key chips are made by Sigma and noone else.
This chip allows for low power video decoding, without burdening the host
processor. Very few companies have a chip that will meet the demands of
this type of decoder application.
