I sold my 8500 shres on the day of the Maxtor announcement. I believe that Ampex's significant move will not occur until the end of 97 or 98. There are two other reasons for bailing out---too many people hyping this stock (I received a call from an unknown broker in NY trying to get me to buy the stock) and also the behaviour of the stock on the day of the Maxtor annoucement. I hope that the stock holds and moves progressively higher throughout 97 aand 98 If AXC revisits the $6-7 range, I may buy again. May all of you have a prosperous and blessed new year. Emile
