I don't care if anyone shorts here, or remains in cash - we all have different circumstances and goals. Mine is ''Elephant Hunting'' ...the big one, the Home Run.... and I'm swinging for the fences here. People just don't get it; the great wealth is made at the bottoms, not the tops... The Saudi Prince who turned $590 Million into $5 Billion in Citicorp a few short years ago, when allmost the same repeat scenario was playing out in the Banking Industry... only now; we have a more proactive FED, better International cooperation and lower rates and no inflation... stay in reality here folks.
VRC; yes - this IS a gift from the oilpatch God's.First; VRC has no long term risk, they are a buyout no-brainer if they ever choose to do so. They had a major order cancel, but have a good backlog and most importantly is that the word is they are the leader in R&D and their new product future is very bright. They spent allmost 5% of total revenues in R&D - I be liking that... Do the ''DD"" on VRC, it will recover to $10-11 very, very fast here for a quick 50% ''freebie.'' In its return to the $30 range, which will occurr as the sector recovers - one has a ''4 + bagger'' here; the risk vs. reward scenario in VRC, currently is near the top in the patch imho. I like those realistic 4-bagger plays. This is not ''bluye sky'' here, but a 4-bagger by the end of Q2 1999 perhaps... VRC in the $20's to $30's is no stretch... gotta be here, too much upside not to play. A ''must own'' here and now - period.
PS Jeff; there are people saying ''buy the semi's'' selectively... a tech no-brainer; PMCS & VTSS here (CSCO & LU - yesterday) and BRCM @ $55 or less after its secondary and post IPO lock up sell off at month end...
...and please give me a collapse in AOL and Yahoo; I'll jump on, but not here in these 2.
