Jeff, Gruder needs to acquire institutional confidence in alyd. This
is a key factor that separates good managers from great managers.
Clearly earnings are important, but without the big guys interest,
the resulting low stock valuation will stall any companies expansion, not to mention my personal financial expansion. :-)
I don't know if you're familiar with SGI's history. I was burned with
it last year. ALYD reminds me of them. SGI had the best talent, best
product in the field, but couldn't run a company. I think they expected corporations to fall all over their product. When they acquired Cray, they thought they could push into SUNW's strength.
Don't know much about them today. May Gruder grow fast and be wiser!
Larry
