To all - an anecdote about the economy sucking. (I have concluded that I am indeed allowed to say "sucking.") On CNBC, Ron Insana just did his "Ticker Talk" piece. He said the story is ... someone in Greenwich CT ordered some particular model of a Mercedes Benz, and was told that there would be an 18 month wait (!). But, then, the dealer had so many cancellations of orders that this person got their (stupid) car in only 2 months. So, there you have it -- mortgage your house and buy 5-yr. note futures. (Just kidding). Jon.
