Over 800 bucks for a trade!!! Wow. You guys might want to consider Pacific Brokerage Services (www.tradepbs.com). They trade for $25 a shot (up to 5000 shares at any price) if you call them up or a measly $11 bucks a shot if you trade online. $4 is added for postage and handling. They handle both market and limit orders, day orders and good till canceled. They don't handle options online yet, but are going to add them soon. You can get their application forms off the net. I moved my self directed IRA there from Schwab after making a couple of trades where I was being hit for a couple of hundred bucks on each buy. They are here in CA, but they have a nationwide 800 number. Check out the system menu on their home page. They have some interesting links. That's how I got here.
