several economists (including Milton Friedman) have
actually indicated this is what Japan should do.
There is nothing that would unlock Japanese savings
as quickly as the prospect of a massive dose of
inflation. Inflation would also straighten out all the
real estate bad loans, sine it would push real estate
prices up.
