RE: It is certainly healthy to be skeptical of the things that you mention, but I have noticed that DELL have tempered their enthusiasm somewhat. They used to say everything was great and people started expecting miracles

Without regard for expectations,
I think the most important part of this statement is that DELL has tempered their enthusiasm somewhat.

What does that tell you.
Either:
A) they are trying to manage the street.
B) Their business may have less energy than it has had in the past.

If A, then eventualy the street will figure this out and punish the stock because the Numbers are too far off the managed mark. If this is the case, When this will happen is anyones guess.

If B, Then the stock may not be pusished but only sold in the same way that CSCO is being sold right now.

There is one other, C)
C, which I think is less likely, is that all is fine and dandy. With no worries going forward from now to all of eternity.

If C, then the stock should have no trouble doubling from here. Target $100-120. At that point we can talk about all of this again.

Odds
A) 1 to 1.5
B) 1 to 2
C) 5 to 1

Once the temperment starts, There is often much worst to come.

Jim
