I know you and John take your technical analysis seriously, but I'm wondering if there aren't extenuating circumstances that make certain companies difficult to track. For example, when a company's only been public one year? Or when there's tax-loss selling on a stock that had an insane run earlier? Or when a large investor transacts his exchange of shares as part of an underwriting? It seems to me any one of these would skew the results and bring unmerited concern to those watching.

I don't mean to be negative, just curious. I know a guy who nearly lost his shirt following AOL's chart and thinking he knew what it would do next.

Regards,

Pat
