Sony is banking on the high-end with its upcoming DVD-RAM drive due by Christmas. It is one of the formats entering the DVD-RW/RAM war. I think Sony's DVD-RAM disc holds over 3 Gig uncompressed on one side. This kind of huge storage will put SERIOUS pressure on Jaz and Tape backup systems as well.
