Nice to see Pisani throw one of his sources a bone. It had been a whole hour before a "friend of Bob" got his views broadcast under the guise of objective "reporting".

In his "winners and losers" segment, after rambling on about the indexes, he somehow manages to slip in that the chief technician at Salomon follows X number world markets and none of them are buys.

Why is this news?
Why is this news that should be aired in that particular segment?

It was also interesting to note how Pisani totally got that deer in the headlights look when it got to actually doing what the segment was aimed at - summarizing the winners and losers in individual stock issues as opposed to voicing the opinions of "friends of Bob".

In sports reporting they call these types "jock-sniffers".
