Leo:

1997 and 1998 should have been good
years, they are lost now. At least ZOOM has shown itself to be a survivor. My
guess is that they should stand by, cultivate the retail channel, and cement alliances
with possible future suppliers of technology. Most of all they must do whatever it
takes to be prepared when the next "hot" product category becomes apparent.

That is the essence of the whole has been and should be thing. FWIW
I think video cams are a hot category (check BW for a mouthwatering report on the more expensive cousin - digital cameras) for the next few years and I'm hoping we still have a smidgeon of a chance of profit left in analog modems.

David: Just wanted to reiterate that that listing of mine of quarterly
comments were for profits and not revenues. I had a Dataquest forecast (courtesy of our friends at DIMD) covering several pages that was
the basis of my qualitative quarterly profit "projections". I'll
see if I can dig it up. In any case those tend to be mainly off but they do nevertheless offer a different perspective.

Wars don't have winners only corpses and bloodied survivors <weak g>.

Shane.
