Creditman, I am not a "guru" but a frequenter of SCI, DIIG's, and AFLX's Threads. But JBL's report was important to us too. The large Nortel deal announced along with earnings was quite impressive on the heels of the HP acquisition too depicts a strong future for JBL, if... JBL integrates the two new operations properly and rationalizes expenses.

JBL noted in its news release that it is new at the major acquisition game... But for ECM's generally the JBL report suggests that the Asian crisis is indeed accelerating the trend toward outsourcing amongst major tech/PC/telcomm companies.

Now the market itself may thrash around for 6-9 months, but that does not hide the fact of growing business in this sector....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
