I think it is a riot that the consensus number for earnings for YHOO is 9 cents this quarter. Of course they will blow out that number. The 250 million in cash that they raised at the beginning of the quarter will generate 3 cents in earnings just sitting in a money market. So with no growth, earnings would be over 10 cents. Duh???

Kind of makes you think that the analysts are setting this one up, doesn't it? 13 or 14 cents should be a minimum but oh what a surprise it will be.

I shorted a little more today and will do the rest tomorrow. Finally getting back to my old position. Anyone watching where the big blocks have been trading over the past 3 days????? Most were on the bid and today almost all were on the bid. The big set up is in place.

Oh and by the way William, OC is not far off in his logic. Brokerage firms most definitely are interested in helping their largest clients. It happens all the time. Now whether in this instance it is happening is subject to question, but it wouldn't surprise me. But when mutual funds are selling many times you will see buy recommendations reiterated.

Getting ready to sell my gold position as I think the market will be indiscriminate in the next leg down. But will have a bucket waiting as gold stocks come down with the rest of the market.
