IDTI has had several efforts that have been grossly mis-calculated. The only way to go after the uP business is to catch a "window of opportunity" and then ramp new products to continue the sales and production momentum. The half-assed way IDT has executed is laughable except that many investors and employees have been mis-led that this company would some day deliver. It is always next quarter or next year - and now we still don't know if they have taken the pipe out of their mouths and can see through the Bay area haze. They should have done a deal with an Asian partner 3 years ago combined with building a much more modest facility or renovating an existing one. Oh well, what's a few hundred million anyway. In a couple of years IDTI will be able to write off the Oregon fab after never having made a profit. As long as the management gets their stock options and salaries who's to complain?

Maybe IDTI would make a profitable company about 1/2 the current size.
